Inside HDI-001

What's in the free TenCo file

The Thesis

The one idea that explains why TenCo and Zushi worked when a hundred other exotic-flavor names didn't.

The Plays

Every strategic move, in timeline order, each one tagged WHY IT MATTERS → so you know what to steal and what to skip.

The Toolkit

The questions to ask about your own brand, pulled from what TenCo got right and where they left money on the table.

How Staks converted a European hash trophy shelf into California's most wanted flower name by refusing the licensing deal on the table.

~Early 2021 — First Zushi drop at Cookies Melrose. WHY IT MATTERS → borrowed shelf, borrowed credibility: the biggest retail name in the culture introduces Zushi to LA before TenCo has a store of its own.

June 26, 2021 — Blue Zushi wins the inaugural Zalympix: Best Tasting and Best Overall. WHY IT MATTERS → blind-judged, third-party proof at the exact moment of maximum hype.

January 2022 — The Perris store opens after a two-year build. WHY IT MATTERS → the anti-licensing decision: refuse the brand-license model, take equity-style partnership instead — betting that vertical control is worth carrying vertical risk.

2019 — Meets Gerry; the rebrand begins; the characters are born. WHY IT MATTERS → the "not-so-childish Pokemon approach, where you have to catch them all" turns a SKU list into a collection — the single highest-return marketing decision the brand ever made.

Sept 5, 2023 — The Perris store's retail license expires; no replacement appears in the state record. WHY IT MATTERS → the vertical bet's hidden clause comes due — unreported by any outlet until this study.

Who this is for. Who it ain't.

For

Operators. Brand founders. People building a name coming from the traditional side. Anybody bouta launch who'd rather learn from someone else's expensive mistakes than their own.

Not for

Anybody looking for a shortcut with no work attached. There's no get-rich anything in here. This is analysis. You still gotta execute.

Who made this
[REAL PHOTO OF LUC — no stock] · LMC · Seattle

LMC. The same person whose videos you already watch.

The LMC channel (~150K) and the High Design documentary series exist because I spent years inside brand origin stories — the legacy-to-legal ones nobody else was documenting. These files are the notes I wish someone handed me: not the hype, the mechanics.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is the first one really free?

Yes. First name and email, one file, no card.

Ain't this on the channel for free?

Pieces of it. The videos tell the story. The files break the story into moves, date them, price them, and tell you which ones you can actually run. Twelve thousand words on TenCo alone, with the state records and the interviews cited. That never fits in a video.

What's in the $67?

All sixteen remaining files, plus every new file added after you buy. One payment, no subscription.

What format?

PDF, designed to read on your phone. Same design as the file you already have.

Is this legal or financial advice?

No. It's strategy analysis. Talk to a lawyer and an accountant before you move on anything.

Refunds?

Seven days, no questions. If it ain't worth it to you, email and you get it back.
